Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the funding on Monday as part of round two of the NSW government’s Stronger Communities Fund.
Projects to receive funding include $1,189,073 for a larger grandstand with disabled access at Equex Centre, lighting at French Fields and Harris Park, $370,801 for new women’s change rooms at Parramore Park and $73,375 for a new roof and car park at Wagga Boat Club.
“Wagga is known as the City of Good Sports and this NSW Government funding will ensure the community has more of the right community infrastructure to maintain its reputation for producing some of the greats like Nathan Sharpe, Mark Taylor of the Mortimer brothers,” Ms Berejikilian said.
