Blake Hart’s exceptional tryscoring feats have seen him claim the Bill Castle Medal.
Hart scored 29 regular season tries and had a massive impact in his first season with Waratahs.
It came down to the final round but Hart picked up one vote to finish a point clear of Tumut forward Menzies Seumanutafa, who polled two, to be named the best player in the competition.
Ag College forward Mike van Diggelen was a further point behind.
With breathtaking speed, Hart scored at least one try in each of his games this season and not to miss out on the biggest day of the year, finished the grand final with a late double.
He was thrilled with how the day unfolded.
“I wasn’t expecting this, but it is good to get," Hart said.
“I’m pretty happy.”
Hart had to adapt to a new position this season, playing a lot of it on the wing, but hopes he can move closer to the middle of the field next season.
