Himmelberg, 20, has been named as an emergency for Adelaide’s clash against the Kangaroos at Adelaide Oval.
An Eastlakes-MCU junior, Himmelberg was drafted to Adelaide with selection 51 in the 2016 AFL Draft and signed a two-year contract extension earlier this year.
He was originally named in the Crows’ extended squad but dropped out to be an emergency when the final team was announced on Friday evening.
“Elliot’s been in good form in the SANFL, kicked five goals a couple of weeks ago so good to see him come into the squad,” Adelaide’s head of football Brett Burton told AFC Media on Thursday.
Adelaide takes on North Melbourne at 4.10pm on Sunday.
