The 85-year-old super fan has bled green and red ever since former Magpies star Terry Westblade took the reins at the Wagga club and shares a close familial relationship with the coach.
“My son Graham (Kelly) used to play at Magpies with Terry in the centres and they looked so alike, people could hardly tell them apart when they played together,” she said.
“Even I found it difficult to tell them apart.”
Boasting passion that would put the biggest fans to shame, Kelly has staunchly followed her beloved club’s ups and downs in a rollercoaster 2018 season.
“I read every single report that comes out about them,” she said.
“Though I didn’t like it when they started losing, but I know they’ll start winning again this weekend.”
Westblade and Brothers hooker Aaron Wynne ensured their top cheerleader would be kitted out for the club’s major semi final clash with Southcity on Saturday after dropping off some merchandise on Wednesday evening.
“I played with Graham back in ‘77 and we become lifelong friends despite only spending that one year at Magpies together,” Westblade said.
“Pat’s been like family to me ever since.”
