Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland has joined Gundagai counterpart David Blundell in a share of the lead of the Southern District Racing Association (SDRA) Winter Series.

Blundell and Sutherland are level on 22 points heading into the final leg of the series at Albury next Tuesday.
Sutherland picked up nine points at Wagga on Sunday, courtesy of Gentleman Max and Willy White Socks, to join Blundell in the lead.
Corowa’s Geoff Duryea and Wagga’s Dave Heywood share third place on 16 points, while Canberra trainer Luke Pepper is on 15.
The trainer with the most points earns $2500, funded by SDRA.
The final leg at Albury is an Open Handicap over 1500 metres.
