The US-based initiative hit Wagga about eight years ago, with three gyms launched at about the same time.
The owners of all three businesses said popularity for the style of training was growing stronger year on year.
The brand is recognised for its high-intensity workouts, that focus on interval training, power-lifting, weightlifting, gymnastics and callisthenics.
Mark Edis, of Victus CrossFit, said the gym had relocated twice to accommodate the growing number of clients.
“It’s different to your average gym,” Mr Edis said. “It creates a community … everyone gets behind each other.”
Instead of the focus of fitness being weight-loss and goal-setting, Mr Edis said CrossFit was about “getting people better at life”.
“It’s about being the best version of yourself,” he said. “The aesthetics is a byproduct of that.”
