The clouds parted for an excellent day of junior soccer as 11 boys teams duked it out for a semi final berth at Duke of Kent Oval.
Mater Dei, Coolamon, South Wagga and Kooringal were the strongest sides and produced a pair of cracking semi finals in from of a healthy crowd.
Defending premiers South Wagga beat Kooringal 3-0 before Mater Dei ensured a grand final rematch after handing Coolamon a 2-0 defeat.
The girls’ Sydney FC Cup round robin and semi finals will be played on Friday (August 10).
Meanwhile, the Creed and Shipard Shield semi finals have taken shape after the final round of competition played out on Wednesday night.
Kooringal bludgeoned their way to the top of Pool B with a 4-1 win over TRAC while Mater Dei edged Wagga High 2-1 in their Pool A clash.
Wagga High finished second in Pool A and will face Kooringal in their semi final before Mater Dei and Kildare renew their rivalry in the other semi final.
In the Shipard Shield, Mount Austin will front Mater Dei after topping Pool B while Kooringal and Wagga High set to clash in the second semi final.
The grand finals for all three competitions will be played on August 22.
