Stephens was sidelined after sustaining a hand injury at training last month and missed the Blaze’s past three outings, including their successful road trip to Newcastle and Maitland.
“I’ve been training with the splint on for a while and I’m hoping to have it taken off next Monday when I have my doctor’s appointment,” Stephens said.
Now, the veteran says she set to return against the Mustangs on August 18.
We haven’t lost to Maitland this year, so hopefully we can get past them in the semi final.

“We’ve been training really well and doing some scrimmaging to prepare for the game, but it’s mainly been going over our strategies,” Stephens said.
A likely grand final date with Coffs Harbour looms should the Blaze edge the Mustangs for the third time this season.
“We haven’t beaten Coffs Harbour yet, so we’re considering how we might prepare for them too,” she said
We’ll still have to beat Maitland though and we’re going to approach it one game at a time.”
