Well, how does lending a hand to drought-stricken NSW farmers while you’re enjoying your meal sound?
Until the end of August, the Westside Sandwich Shop will be donating $1 from every egg and bacon roll sold to the Buy A Bale campaign.
Owner Lisa Bloomfield kicked off the campaign on Wednesday and has had a strong response from customers.
“We’ve had great support already,” she said.
“We really wanted to do something to help the farmers, and the customers have been supportive.”
According to the Department of Primary Industries, 61 per cent of NSW is either in drought or intense drought, while nearly 39 per cent is drought affected.
