Chrissy Bolton of Wagga City Library said the team had chosen “technology and robotics” as this year’s science week theme.
“We’ve made an environment where people can access robots in a fun way,” Ms Bolton said.
“We’re going to have a robot catwalk, a robot petting zoo, some virtual reality, and augmented reality sandpit, and a 3D print hub at the Museum of the Riverina.”
Ms Bolton said it was all about giving children opportunities to learn.
“Living in a country area, not many of our young people get the opportunity to get up close and personal with technology in that way.”
Robo Day is August 18.
