The Tigers can sneak into the major semi-final with a win over Albury and if Brothers go down to Kangaroos in the final round of the season.
However injured coach James Smart isn’t concerned where they finish.
Instead he was just pleased to bring up another strong win.
“We just wanted to play well against Temora and play well against Albury to set ourselves up to the finals,” Smart said.
“Whether we are second or third if we play well we are confident we can win the game.
“We will see what happens on Saturday.”
Gundagai flew out of the blocks to lead 32-8 before running out 54-8 winners.
The loss sees the Dragons drop to last on the ladder.
Damian Willis scored a hat-trick in the win while Corey Wilson impressed after making his first grade debut off the bench.
