Gunning for just their third win of the season, the Wanderers tried hard but were outgunned by United at Gissing Oval.
Mitsuya Takizawa, Liam Higgins and Benjamin Lam scored for the visitors while Wanderers star Tyler Allen was issued a yellow card.
It doesn’t get easier for the Wanderers in their upcoming away game, with Central Coast United currently sitting atop the State League ladder.
Meanwhile, the under 20s found more success, notching a 3-all draw in their game.
The side led 1-0 at half time but couldn’t close out the match as Central Coast banged three goals in the second stanza.
The under 18s led 2-0 with 10 minute to play in their game and looked set for an upset before conceding three late goals to fall short in a 3-2 loss.
