The Demons ended the Hoppers finals chances with a 16.15 (111) to 9.12 (66) victory at Crossroads Oval on Saturday.
But the win came at a cost with Klemke and Joe Byrnes both suffering hamstring injuries, while Nick Perryman was red carded late in the game.
Aside from that, it was a strong response from Collingullie-GP after last week’s loss to Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong.
“It could have gone either way, we hadn’t lose two in a row for a while so the pressure was on and it was a good challenge,” Collingullie-GP coach Luke Gestier said.
“Coolamon are a fair bit better than the last time we played them so I was rather happy with the win.”
The Demons started strong with a seven-goal opening quarter and then put the game to bed with a six-goal third term.
Lachie Moore had a lot of the footy, while Tom Keogh and Ed Perryman were others to shine.
Gestier was pleased with his entire team.
“Across the board, it was the first time for a long time that we’ve had 22 good contributors,” he said.
The injuries to Klemke and Byrne come ahead of next Saturday’s top of the table clash against Griffith at Crossroads Oval.
Gestier expects both players to be back in time for finals.
“We’ll definitely get them back, if not the last round, then finals,” he said.
“It’s not ideal, I would have liked to have hit Griffith with our best side but hopefully we will come finals.”
Coolamon named Josh Buchanan, Cooper McKelvie and Nick Pleming are their best.
The loss rules the Hoppers out of finals, in what is a disappointing result for the club.
