Now Wagga shoppers have a chance to lend a hand and tuck into a barbecued snag at the same time.
Staff at the Wagga Bunnings store are taking part in in a statewide all-day fundraising sausage sizzle on Friday.
They will be firing up the barbecues from 9am, and selling sausages until 4pm.
All of the money they raise will go the Buy A Bale campaign, which provides fodder and other items to farmers.
Charles Alder, who is the CEO of Rural Aid and the founder of Buy A Bale, has said more than 70 farmers across NSW were registering for assistance each week, and that figure is expected to rise as conditions deteriorate.
