This Sunday they head to Young, who are just one point behind them on the Football Wagga competition ladder.
Leeton are clinging to fourth, but a loss will see them slip down to fifth.
In this year’s Pascoe Cup the top six progress to the finals, but Leeton want to finish in the top four.
With the weekend’s 6-0 loss to Lake Albert still on their mind, Leeton spent Tuesday night’s training assessing where to from here.
There was a lot of soul searching going on, but I think we will be okay.
- Leeton United assistant coach Joe Trifogli
Assistant coach Joe Trifogli was hopeful the team would move on and focus on the tail end of the season.
“Everyone had a good, hard look at themselves at training on Tuesday,” he said.
“We’re hoping it was just a game where we were off.
“There was a lot of soul searching going on, but I think we will be okay.”

The team will have to get back to their winning ways without Scott Munro and Daniel McKenzie, who will serve a one-week suspension after both received their third yellow card for the year on the weekend.
However, in some good news injured captain Joey Fondacaro could make a long-awaited return for the game after training well on Tuesday.
Trifogli said the goal from here on out was to win every match in the lead up to the finals.
In their path is this weekend’s match with Young, followed by Junee, Henwood Park and Tumut.
The games against Junee and Tumut will both be played on Leeton’s home turf at the MIA Sports Field.
“We can’t really afford to lose,” Trifogli said.
“The goal will be win each of there matches.
“Winning this weekend is especially crucial.
“It’s such a tight competition from us in fourth into the bottom part of the ladder.”
Last time Leeton and Young met, it was Leeton who came away with a 4-0 victory.
“We know Young will be another tough challenge for us,” Trifogli said.
“I was talking to their coach last week and, even though they were well beaten, he said they played well.
“So, we need to make sure we’re on top of them across the field.
“Everyone will have a job to play. We’ll know by Thursday night what sort of team we are taking over, but we need to be on our game.”
