The Jaguars are just one point ahead of the Hawks on the Leonard Cup table and hold bragging rights after dishing out a 6-2 thrashing in their most recent encounter.
Duncan was disappointed with some aspects of his side’s 2-1 win over defending premiers Tolland last weekend but took heart from an enthusiastic second half effort.
“A great aspect of this current team is that they don’t sit back,” Duncan said.
“They stepped up a gear and went on the hunt for more goals and applied a huge amount of pressure that (resulted in) 18 shots at goal for the half (against Tolland).”
Shooting practice will be on the Jaguars’ agenda after last week’s poor conversion rate, with goals expected to be at a premium against the Hawks.
“(It) should be a great game,” Duncan said.
In the weekend’s other fixtures, South Wagga will look to tighten their grip on third place with a win over seventh-placed Wagga United while Cootamundra (fifth) and Lake Albert (sixth) duke it out next door at Rawlings Park.
