Wagga residents can now help embattled Riverina farmers through their Return and Earn refunds.
The announcement follows the charity, Buy a Bale’s decision to join forces with reverse vending machines across the state.
It comes as drought wraps its cruel hands across almost all NSW, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
With 2018 bringing with it one of the driest winters on record, Return and Earn Network operator TOMRA made the call to step up and help the country-based men and women fighting to make ends meet.
Buy a Bale was named its official donation partner on Wednesday, with 10c refunds on eligible drink containers pledged to drought-affected residents across the state from August 27.
Money provide essentials like hay to give farmers a decent chance in these tough times.
