Little was announced on Thursday night as the new coach for the Wagga club in 2019.

The 33-year-old is excited for what lies ahead, but is firmly focused on continuing the Brethren’s premiership charge.

“We still have a red hot crack this year of winning it and I just want to make sure everyone stays on board for next year,” Little said.

“That is the main thing.

“I am quite happy with everyone here at the club, I don’t think we need anything to change.”

After coming in as coach midway through last season Westblade has been at the helm for the club's revival.

They are set to play finals football for the first time since 2010, back during Little’s first stint with the club, but with work commitments and family in Wollongong he didn’t believe he had the time to commit to another season.

“It is too hard for me with my work,” Westblade said.

“I’m really stretched for time and there are days I come back from Albury or Leeton and have to get to training and I’m just pushing it so it will definitely be the end for me.”

Little believes having an internal switch will help the club stay in its current upwards trend.

With a premiership with win Southcity among his footballing achievements Little said coaching is the next step in a long career.

“It is pretty much the last thing on my checklist with my footy career,” he said.

“I’m definitely excited and am pretty much the coach these days anyway the way I am on the field so not much is going to change.”

Brothers are coming off their second loss of the season but with things so tight at the top of the Group Nine ladder, Little knows they can’t afford another slip up against Cootamundra at Equex Centre on Sunday.

“I’ve played in this comp a long time and it is the toughest it has ever been,” he said.

“We talked about it at training and we can’t afford to keep dropping games as one or two losses and we are out of the four. 

“For us we need to keep winning to stay in the four.”
