With Westblade not committed to a third season at the helm, Brothers swiftly installed the star playmaker as their new leader.
Little has been captain of the club for the past 14 months, following the sacking of captain-coach Ben Black midway through last season, but will take the next step.
Brothers president Craig Stewart was thrilled to have secured Little.
“Terry was the man for the job last year but the club has evolved now,” Stewart said.
“Pete is really excited for the role – he has done everything in Group Nine there is to do with premierships and his rep career – and really coaching is the last frontier he wants to do.
“We are more than happy to jump on board.
“He has all the credentials we need and has been a real leader this year.
“It is fantastic we have someone of his calibre willing to do it for us.”
After a big recovery to just missing out on finals last season, Brothers are currently in second place on the Group Nine ladder.
They’ve been on top for a large portion of the season before losing to Gundagai before the bye.
They tackle Cootamundra at Equex Centre on Sunday.
Little is the second new member of the Group Nine coaching ranks to be announced this week with Roy Jewitt to replace James Woolford as Young’s coach next season.
