The T E Smith Rocky Waterholes memorial plaque, in recognition of the late Terry Smith’s services to the Narrandera community, was unveiled at the Rocky Waterholes Bridge. He set a wonderful example for all by working hard and leading fellow enthusiasts to complete projects of sizeable proportions. Terry’s passions, interests and legacies included work on the Rocky Waterhole Bridge, Narrandera Landcare, Koala regeneration, Narrandera Wetlands and other projects.

The Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service Emergency Operations Centre in Twynam Street, Narrandera, where children are nursed or nurtured, has been named “Gilgali Buraay”. The official opening was held on Wednesday of NAIDOC Week.
‘Narranderite’ Gordon McMaster, well-known Kelpie breeder, has released a new book entitled Gordie Walks with Legends. During his 83 years, he has met many impressive and colourful characters and this book recalls some of them.
Jenny Old, a member of the Bull family of Deniliquin, and her husband Rick were at Narrandera Library on Friday, July 13 promoting Back of Beyond. The setting for her true story as told by this remarkable woman is Australia’s Gulf Country where life can be as hard as it gets. As the promo says, this is “One woman’s remarkable story of love, adventure, disasters and wonderful times in the Gulf Country.”
