The talented outside back missed last weekend’s grand final rematch with Leeton after being selected for the ACT Schoolboys side and spent the past week competing at the National Schoolboy Championships in Sydney.
“We went alright in the end and finished up fourth, which was pretty good,” Toole said.
“We came second in our pool and we went close to beating NSW I as well.”
Toole scored a sensational 70 metre solo try in the Junior Brumbies opening game against Queensland II and was impressed with the skills on display at the championships, but said he was ready to return for his club against the Blacks.
“All the boys out there were pretty built and the speed of the game was a lot quicker than here, but I’m keen to be back for this weekend.
“It seemed like it was a pretty close game against Leeton ... so hopefully we can get a win and use that week off to refresh,” he said.
A win over Griffith would see the Tahs finish the regular season with a perfect record.
