The success initiatives are as follow.
Riverina Murray Tourism Accelerator
To be run by Destination Riverina Murray in partnership with RDA Riverina.
Based on RDA Riverina’s successful 2017 business accelerator, the project received $25,000 in funding to deliver a business-accelerator program to the tourism sector.
The project cost is $50,000.
MYSKATE – Murrumbidgee Youth Skate Festival
To be delivered by Griffith City Council.
Attracting $20,000 in funding, the festival will incorporate skating demonstrations, local food stalls and other activities aimed at people aged 8–30 years.
The project cost is $40,000.
Griffith Affordable Housing Strategy
To be developed by Griffith City Council.
The project will develop a housing strategy to address affordability, diversity, accessibility and innovative design issues to improve the market.
Attracting $17,500 in funding, the project cost is $35,000.
Soccer Expo and High Needs Development Program
To be run by the Griffith District Football Association.
Receiving $15,606 in funding, the project will deliver a soccer event involving many sporting clubs and associations aimed at attracting participants from minority demographics.

Rachel Whiting, RDA Riverina CEO and director of Regional Development, said that BBRF is a competitive, merit-based grant program designed to create jobs, drive economic growth and support strong regional and remote communities across Australia.
“The BBRF supports regional areas like the Riverina by funding infrastructure projects and community strengthening programs, such as new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans and leadership and capability-building activities.
“The four Riverina-based community projects have received more than $78,000 in BBRF funding, and RDA Riverina was pleased to provide grant-writing assistance to these applicants.
“We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of each project,” Ms Whiting said.

The BBRF is $641.6 million in total and funds projects outside of major capital cities.
RDA Riverina said information about the Infrastructure Stream of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) will be released by local members in the coming weeks.
