The Bulls made it four wins on the trot with a 12-0 win over their Wagga rivals on Saturday.
It sees them move into a share of fourth with Kangaroos and Cootamundra.
They are still sixth on percentage and Cootamundra have a game in hand, but tackle Brothers on Sunday.
Coach Bailey Porter has been thrilled with the team’s performance.
“We’re coming home strong for the final leg which is good,” Porter said.
Porter was thrilled with the team’s defence at Equex Centre, notching just their second clean sheet.
It was 0-0 at half-time before Southcity were able to create some space and scored three tries in the corner.
After sitting well off the pace mid-season Porter believes an improved commitment has seen their results turn around.
“We’ve had the majority of the same girls for two seasons now and I think every is getting to training every week, there is a lot more commitment and everyone is really enjoying it,” she said.
“That has made a huge difference.”
A poor percentage may hinder their chance at fourth spot but with games against Brothers, Tumut and Junee to come Porter is hopeful.
“Brothers is definitely going to be a huge challenge and you can never underestimate the bottom teams as well,” she said.
“You just have to look at us we were eighth and have ended up in fourth beating teams we never thought we could beat.”
