Perryman went off with a hamstring injury during the last quarter of the Giants’ loss to West Coast in Perth last Sunday.
Giants head of athletic performance David Joyce expects to see Perryman back in the next couple of weeks.
“He complained of some hamstring soreness/tightness at the start of the final quarter,” Joyce said.
“He’s a young kid so we wrapped him up. We scanned him, and it’s come back that he’s got a really low-grade strain.”
The game against the Eagles was Perryman’s sixth AFL appearance for the year.
It is better news for Leeton’s Jacob Hopper however who missed the trip to Perth with calf tightness.
“He had some calf tightness that, probably by the end of the week we thought he could actually play, but it was obviously a trip to Perth and the like, so we just took a more conservative route with Jacob,” Joyce said.
“He’s fine, I expect him to train strongly (on Wednesday) and, again, be available for selection this week.”
Hopper has enjoyed a strong season and featured in 12 of the Giants’ 15 AFL games this year.
The Giants face a big test on Saturday night when they host ladder leaders Richmond in a game that is crucial in regards to their finals hopes.
