A Riverina man has been charged with breaking into a woman’s house before choking and raping her.

The West Wyalong man appeared before Wagga’s District Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to five charges including aggravated break and enter and having sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent.
He was also charged with choking the same woman to render her incapable of resistance and committing an act of indecent assault against her.
The Crown alleged that all five crimes took place on March 9, 2017, at the complainant’s West Wyalong home.
The man is currently being held in custody at the Junee Correction Centre where he will remain until his trial, which is set to begin on October 22 this year.
