The ninth-placed Warriors got off to a blistering start on Friday night and led United 1-0 before an Oscar Wills equaliser put the men in orange on level pegging at the main break.
Weir said a few “stern words” at halftime helped motivate his side.
“We started off pretty slow and had a pretty good chat during the break,” Weir said.
“From there we started playing really well.”
Goals to Nazar Yousif, Chris Walker, Weir, and an unfortunate own goal saw United comfortably home and into the top six for the first time this season.
“It’s a big confidence booster, for sure,” Weir said.
