Local artist Jenny Nechvatal will run a weaving workshop for teenagers aged 12-16 years.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, July 17 from 10am-12.30pm.
Cost: $30. All materials are provided and each participant will receive individual attention.
Participants will learn basic basket weaving techniques, using a mixture of materials to create their own unique basket that expresses their creativity and individuality through colour, design and texture.
This introductory workshop will explain the skills needed to keep making baskets at home for yourself, friends and family.

Each Wednesday of the holidays the library will put out plenty of comfy chairs before showing a family-friendly classic movie on the big screen in the downstairs children's area.

This classic fairy-tale penned by French author, Charles Perrault, is one of his many fairy tales to have been adapted for screen by Disney.
On July 18, enjoy Pete’s Dragon (Disney 2016- PG).
The film tells the story of an orphaned boy who befriends a dragon and the ensuing repercussions of their discovery by the town's local residents.
Kids and adults are welcome to share in a mini-cinematic experience.
