Riverina got off to the best possible start on Wednesday morning with a 3-2 win over Sydney West before showcasing their try-scoring flair in an entertaining 7-6 win over North West.
Riverina Schools Sports Association coordination officer Terry Willis said high-scoring affair between Riverina and North West was a “beauty”.
“We came from behind for that one, it was a great game.”
Riverina rounded out the day with a convincing 5-1 win over Western and Willis believes they’re right in the mix for finals.
“We’ve still got two games to play tomorrow and the big thing for us is to win both of those and cement second or third place,” Willis said.
Riverina will face off against Sydney East and North Coast on Thursday morning for a potential semi final berth the same day.
