The driver of a vehicle allegedly involved in a police pursuit was rushed to Wagga Base Hospital on Saturday, after the chase came to a careening end.

A highway patrol vehicle had allegedly detected the black commodore travelling at speed along Coolamon Road, near Downside after 11.30am.
Inspector Rob Vergano said a short pursuit then took place.
Within minutes, Inspector Vergano said the commodore had left the roadway, ploughing through a fence and coming to rest in a paddock nearby.
He said the two uninjured passengers were apprehended at the scene.
However, the driver had not been as fortunate.
The 20-year-old Tatton man was driven to Wagga Base Hospital with a number of injuries.
Inspector Vergano said the driver was arrested some time later.
But that was not the only police pursuit across the weekend.
Wagga police chief inspector Andrew Spliet said a 17-year-old had been arrested, after he allegedly drove at speeds in excess of 80 kilometres per hour across the city.
Inspector Spliet said the driver – a Kooringal man – was granted conditional bail, to appear at Children’s Court in July.
“It is concerning when peep want to drive in that manner to draw attention to themselves,” Inspector Spliet said.
“It puts members of the public in danger.”
