Goalkeeper Matthew McKnight led the way for the Lions with a flawless display at the back but it took 80 minutes of football before Abdul Arja headed in the match-winning goal off a free kick.
“It was a pretty scrappy game but it’s more important to play ugly and win then play pretty and lose,” Young coach Mark Mellish said.
