It marked the beginning of what became an innovative dream.
But that was eight years ago.
The Wagga mother was well ahead of the curve when it came to replacing plastic bags, creating, manufacturing and selling her own “Green Bag-Bags” to help carry the material-made alternatives.
But Ms Trevaskis said despite good sales in 2011, the bigger super markets “were not ready”.

Ms Trevaskis’s relaunch of her Green Bag-Bag follows a decision to ban single-use plastic bags at Woolworths stores across NSW and comes ahead of what will be an almost nationwide ban come July.
With more residents purchasing multi-use shopping bags, Ms Trevaskis has dusted off her life-hack invention.

“I decided it was time to finally get my stock out of storage,” Ms Trevaskis said. “I’m following my dream.”
She said it was a simple way to be green, but it was something no one else had thought of.
