Described as an iconic school event, all three kindergarten classes brought their teddy bears and wore their teddy cardboard hats, filling the school hall along with their grade 6 buddies.
Kindergarten teacher of class KL, Mrs Louise Lewis, said the event comprises of a few different subjects, including art, science and literacy.
“It’s a part of our science unit, so we look at how things are made, so the students make an umbrella for their teddy bears they’ve brought in,” Mrs Lewis said.
“It’s also a way for them to just do something really special for parents because they put in a lot of work throughout the year.”
This event gave students an opportunity to sing and dance in front of their family and friends.
Henschke Public School’s principal Michael Jones said it was a “celebration in the middle of the year” with lots of fun and laughter.
