Police allege the 26-year-old was one of three men believed to have forced entry into a Bourke Street home on November 5 before attacking the occupant inside.
The victim was left with a fractured finger and head injuries.
The two other men were previously charged and are set to face Wagga Local Court in August this year.
But Wagga police inspector Peter McLay said the third man had, until this week, evaded officers.
“He found out police were after him and took off,” Inspector McLay said. “He was located in Victoria.”
Victoria police on Tuesday arrested the 26-year-old Wagga man at Hoppers Crossing and he was extradited to appear at Albury Local Court on Thursday.
“This is a good result for investigators,” Inspector McLay said. “We always like to see people brought before the courts for crimes they’re alleged to have committed.”
