Maguire has shot to the lead in the NEAFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
The 20-year-old polled seven votes in Canberra’s win over NT Thunder on Saturday night after amassing 32 disposals and four clearances.
It was enough to give Maguire a one-vote lead over Southport’s Josh Clayton after 11 rounds.
Maguire is in his second season with the Demons in the NEAFL and is getting better with every week.
As well as leading the MVP award, Maguire has also won a weekly nomination for the Rising Star award this season.
The Demons, under Kade Klemke, are enjoying their best season in the NEAFL and sit in fourth position on the back of four consecutive victories.
Canberra are just one game, plus percentage, off top spot.
