The weather certainly didn’t come to the party, but that didn’t stop Wagga’s rugby union gala day on Sunday.

It was the Crows turn to play host and despite the wet conditions at Parramore Park around 80 games were played.
Even with the wet weather, president of Wagga Juniors Paul Spain was thrilled with the day.
“It was an incredibly successful day for the club as it is the only time we play at home all year,” Spain said.
“We had a lot of helpers and over 400 kids playing.”
Teams from as far as Grenfell and Hay took part with teams from 12 towns taking part.
Boys were in action from under sevens to under 16s with girls games from under 10s through to under 16s.
With so many games day, Spain though playing at Parramore gave the club a lot more options.
“We were very lucky and very thankful for the junior league for letting us use the ground,” he said.
“It is just ideal for what we need to put on with the amount of grounds there.”
