In the top of the table clash, last the premiers were able to hit back at Equex Centre.
Albury got the better of them in round one, taking a 20-12 win on the border, but Brothers hit back with a 24-4 victory of their own.
Coach Craig Stewart missed the game but received a glowing report of the team’s performance.
“They’ve done really well,” Stewart said.
“They are a class act Albury so it was really good to get one over them.
“It will give the girls a lot of confidence heading into the rest of the season.”
The two sides have played off in the last two grand finals, with Brothers winning both including a thrilling one-point win last year.
There is a strong rivalry between the two clubs and Stewart was pleased to level the record in 2018.
“It is obviously a big rivalry between the two teams now and after going down to Albury at the start of the year, where they basically pumped us, to get one back on them was great,” he said.
Percentage is all that separates the two sides after the first nine rounds of the season.
They are one win clear of Temora, who Brothers scored a 36-0 win over earlier in round four.
Cootamundra and Kangaroos are a further win behind but are firmly cemented in the top five, with sixth-placed Young four points adrift.
