• Senior Constable, John Tritton, intelligence officer with Wagga Police said that 618 criminal offences resulted in $726,529 worth of property stolen in 1992 of which only $50,347 had been recovered.
• Minister for planning, Robert Webster, said Wagga’s Bridge to Bridge committee was a “likely candidate” for funding by the Government’s Heritage Assistance Program.

• With completion of Blowering Dam the Mayor, Ald RJ Harris is asking council to consider opening North Wagga for redevelopment.
• Anstice and Mackay are advertising clothes for lawn bowlers including cream trousers for $15.95, cream pullovers for $12.75 and Stetson hats for $4.75.
• Mr WL Hurd, president of the Wagga Eisteddfod Society has welcomed sponsorship rom the Leagues Club, RSL Club and Golf Club for this year’s aria event.
• Miss Gwyneth Ansell and Mr Peter Hamilton were among 700 guests dressed in Roman attire who attended the second annual Bacchus Ball at the Kyeamba Smith Ball.
• Mr Jack Skeers, spokesman for the NSW Road Safety Council said Wagga has been selected as the site of the first driving school to be established in a country area of NSW.
• Miss Carol Flannigan celebrated her 21st birthday with a dinner party at the RSL Club.
• Ashmont Public School outclassed South Wagga to win by 27 points in the senior Australian Rules PASSS competition.
• The Royal Engineers Band, Kapooka played during the visit to Wagga of General Officer Commanding Eastern Command, Major General JW Harrison.
