Mrs Hillier, who is a resident at Southern Cross Care Cootamundra, celebrated her milestone with a family gathering at the weekend, where well-wishers included six of her eight children.
When Mrs Hillier celebrated her 100th birthday last year, she was surrounded by five generations of her family.
Mrs Hillier was a former long-time resident of Wagga. Born in Ardlethan, she was one of 10 children. She lived in Talimba as a young child, and then moved to Griffith during the Depression.
She moved to Wagga in 1964, and spent most of her life there in the same house, moving into residential care only very recently.
Mrs Hillier lived through the Depression, World War II, and the death of her eldest son, when he was just 36.
The mother of eight has a sprawling family, who now live as far as Queensland.
When she celebrated her 100th birthday, Mrs Hillier confided that being kind to people is the key to a long and happy life.
Her happiest times and greatest memories are when she had her babies, though this is tinged with the deep sadness of losing her eldest son, who was tragically killed in an accident.
