Southern District racing headed to the border town of Corowa for a seven-race card and it was Duffy that proved the star of the show.
The talented young jockey rode three consecutive winners – Framework ($9.00), Miralie ($2.30) and Ruby Skye ($3.40).
Framework returned to his best form for Albury trainer Andrew Dale when winning the Morris Wines Class One Handicap (1200m).
The four-year-old won impressively at Corowa on debut in December last year and had not showed that same talent in four subsequent starts before returning to the same track on Tuesday.
“He’s a handful,” Dale said.
“It’s taken a while to get his manners right and back on track.”
Dale believes Framework will get out to 1400m and plans to aim him towards next year’s Country Championships heat.
Duffy also gave Framework a good push.
“It’s a matter of him mentally getting there and once he’s mentally there, he’ll be a pretty nice horse,” Duffy said.
Wodonga’s Craig Widdison moved to outright second on the Southern District trainer’s premiership courtesy of Ruby Skye’s win.
He is now five wins behind Wagga’s Trevor Sutherland with nine meetings remaining this season.
The jockey’s title had little change with Josh Richards and Nick Souquet both grabbing a winner. Nick Heywood maintains his four-win lead.
