A leisurely long weekend balloon flight has ended with two passengers transported to hospital.
Three paramedic units attended the scene on Tara-Bectric Road just after nine this morning, following reports a hot air balloon had been dragged 50 metres along the ground by strong winds.
It is understood the balloon was carrying four people when it came to a heavy landing in a paddock 30 kilometres south east of Temora.
A 48-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl were transported to Temora Hospital where they presented with minor injuries to their legs and face. It is believed the child also sustained a fracture in her arm.
The pilot and a third passenger escaped uninjured.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified and will investigate the exact causes of the incident.
