Southern NSW talent made up most of the state team after selectors unveiled their 25-man squad following the completion of the NSWCHSSA Secondary Australian Football Championship.
Turvey Park junior and Kildare Catholic College student Patrick Voss was named the championship’s most valuable player after a brilliant week for CCC South.
Combined Independent Schools (CIS) won the championship with a 63-point thrashing of CCC South on the final day.
It capped off a big week for CIS, who no one got close to as they cruised through the championship undefeated.
The Riverina Anglican College’s (TRAC) Billy Glanvill enjoyed a fine week and was named CIS’s most valuable player.
Wagga High School’s Kai Watts won the MVP for Riverina South West, while Kildare Catholic College’s Thomas Sase won the award for CCC South.
Seven Wagga students made the squad in Voss, Glanvill, Watts, Sase, Jack Mattingly, Sam Stening and Jamie Mooney.
