Adam Whyte (Marrar), George Kendall (MCUE), Lucas Conlan (Griffith), James Pope (Collingllie-GP) and Michael Driscoll (Osborne) will all be part of the team that takes on Tasmania on Monday at Blacktown International Sports Park.
Coolamon’s Ryan Allen was set to play but was injured on the weekend.
AFL NSW-ACT state manager for talent and coaching, Darren Denneman, said it was a great opportunity for some of the region’s brightest talents.
“The NSW and ACT Under 17s state program encompasses three games against Tasmania, Queensland and Victoria, and as such will be used to develop and expose players as nominated by their club academy, TAC Cup club and state program staff,” Denneman.
“We as the state body, are excited by the concept and trust that all players who earn a game will do their best at that time.”
It is the first of three Futures Series games. NSW-ACT will also play against Queensland at Gold Coast on Monday, July 9, then travel to Melbourne to play Vic Country or Metro on Sunday, August 10.
