The Riverina Strings and Recorders Camp was started up by Judy Gollasch who wanted children to have the same opportunities in music she had growing up.
“I have a passion for music and music education,” she said.
“We have students who have never learnt before, so from raw beginners right through to experienced players who performed last year at the Opera House.”
Ms Gollasch said she likes to see children involved in music.
“We immerse them for week and they come out in the end loving it,” she said.
The musical talents of the children revolve around the violin, viola, cello, double bass, descant, treble, tenor or bass recorder, classical guitar or ukulele.
The camp started in 2010 and one of the original students, Lucy Nagle, attended for eight years and is nopw back working as a staff member.
To show all the children have learnt, the closing concert is open to the public and will be held on Friday June 8 at 2pm.
