Griffith scored first before Aggies put on 57 straight points to take another confidence booster into the two general byes.
The Blacks came into the clash in good form, but Ag College dominated for most of the game.
Coach Will Mitchell was impressed with the 57-12 win coming off a loss to Waratahs last week.
“Our scrum is improving every week, our defence is improving every week and our attack is getting better and better,” Mitchell said.
“We are playing better footy and it shows as we held the footy for most of the game and showed that we can score points.”
Ben Brooke, who was one of Ag College’s best, got things going when he answered Saione Ahomana’s opening try.
With a mass of possession and a dominant scrum Aggies were able to get a roll on, exploting Griffith on the edges.
Tries to Andrew Knox, Lochie Ramm and Mike van Diggelen had the Wagga side well on top before Jock Ward scored right on half-time to make it 33-7.
Aggies picked up where they left off and eight minutes into the second stanza Ward was in again.
They continued to dominant before the Blacks finally hit back when Marty Woetai crossed for the last time of the game.
Blacks coach Craig Morriss is desperate to find some more consistency from his team.
They’ve pushed Waratahs and Leeton in the past month, but struggled against an overwhelming penalty count.
The last minute withdrawals of Benji Maiava and Johnny Brown didn’t help things either.
“We didn’t really get out of the blocks and didn’t get started.
“We were let down by a couple of blokes who didn’t front for the game that were picked in the team and the ring us up with five minutes to go and tell us they are not coming.
“It’s your centre and your winger and a big part to have missing in your side and I think it was a knock on effect from that.”
Morriss described it as a massive blow.
He was also disappointed by their lack of discipline, but thought Aggies simply outenthused his side.
It is back to the drawing board for Morriss and his men ahead of their next game against CSU on June 23.
Ag College have another important clash with Albury after the general byes.
Only percentage separates the two teams on the ladder with the Blacks now four points behind in the battle for fourth and fifth position.
