Wagga High reversed the result from earlier in the tournament and fought hard to hold and win an exciting final, 4.3 (27) to 3.6 (24).
Kildare hit the front late in the third quarter, but only for a minute, as Wagga High got a quick reply through captain Lauren Jolliffe.
Kildare continued to pepper the goals and kicked four consecutive behinds either side of three-quarter-time but were unable to find the match-winner.
Wagga High School coach Josh McKenzie said his girls deserved the victory.
“I’m very proud, they worked hard for this,” McKenzie said.
“They were a bit rusty to start the tournament, skills wise, but they worked hard and came away with the result.
“A few of the girls play in the new girls competition and that was a big thing behind the success.”
Jolliffe was relieved to get over the line in such a close final.
“It’s really good, but exhausting,” she said.
“It was a really well balanced competition and we had to play it out right until the end.
“It’s really good to play in these, learn all the new rules and have the opportunity.”
Kildare kicked a goal in the dying minutes to enjoy a one-point win over Wagga High in the pool game earlier in the competition.
Wagga High will now go on to play in the state under 15 girls final in Canberra on June 20.
