Fresh from a narrow loss to Leeton, Aggies came into the clash full of confidence but struggled to go with the undefeated ladder leaders.
Waratahs scored 12 tries to four to make it win eight for the season.
Captain Tim Corcoran was pleased with the 82-26 win at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.
“We knew it was going to be tight in the first 10, that is where they try to get on top on you, so we knew we just had to hang onto the ball,” Corcoran said.
“That is key for us as we know we are a good attacking side.
“There were a few lapses in defence, off the back of too much ill discipline.”
Scoring so many points was what pleased the inside centre most.
Jock Munro led the way with three tries, and got through plenty of work up the middle, while Dan Selmes and Blake Hart both crossed for doubles in the big win.
Euan Bonner almost had a perfect day with the boot, kicking his first nine attempts before his final one missed in what was the last play of the day while Jake Eaglesham had one of his best games since returning to the club.
Corcoran expects his former club will figure come finals time but he was pleased was with how his team responded after being pushed by Leeton and Griffith in the past fortnight.
“We had a couple of tough weeks against Leeton and Griffith, where we just did too much defending so it was good to hang onto the ball,” he said.
The damage was done in the second half after Waratahs took a 28-19 lead into the break but it always felt like they were in control of the game.
Despite the big loss Ag College coach Will Mitchell found plenty of positives from his team’s attack.
However they had limited opportunities with the ball and defensively struggled to contain the many attacking weapons in the Waratahs artillery.
“I think attack wise I am pretty happy but we were just starved off the ball,” Mitchell said.
“I reckon we would have had maybe 35 per cent of the ball and against a side like that they are going to roll on points when they have the ball.
“They are obviously a very good side and have plenty of depth.
“I’m proud of the effort, we just didn’t execute things defensively and need to work on that.”
Ag College will be looking to rebound when they face Griffith on Saturday while Waratahs travel to Albury.
The Steamers will be looking for their second big scalp in as many weeks following their win over Leeton while Waratahs picked up a couple of injury concerns.
Halfback Sam Hobbs played very little of the game while hooker James Daley came off in the second half.
