There was a less than a goal in it at half-time but the Goannas finished full of running, downing the reigning premiers 14.13 (97) to 7.12 (54) at Mangoplah Sportsground.
Andrew Dickins made a triumphant return from injury, kicking three goals in attack before moving into the ruck in the second half and having a big influence.
MCUE teenager Kyle Chandler shone on debut, while midfielders Tom Keogh and Nick McCormack helped turn the tide with big second halves.
Keogh also kicked three goals.
“I’m very happy to come away with the win,” MCUE coach Travis Cohalan said.
“We had 12 teenagers in the team, had eight or nine of our best 22 out and our oldest player today was 29 and our second oldest was 25.
“So to come away with a win against the reigning prmiers, who have a lot of kids as well but have more seasoned bodies than us and expected to come over and beat us, was very pleasing.”
Experienced midfielders Bryce O’Garey and Matt Rainbird continued their good form and were best for the Crows.
