Campbell has been reported by AFL NSW-ACT’s match review panel from an incident in last Saturday’s representative game between Riverina and Farrer Leagues at Robertson Oval.

It was Campbell’s first game for the season after serving a three-game suspension that he occurred in a pre-season trial game.

Campbell has been reported for bumping or making forceful contact when a player has their head down over the football.

Campbell’s bump on Temora’s Luke Gerhard has been graded as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.

Taking his record into account, the base sanction is a three-game suspension but Campbell can accept two games with an early guilty plea.

Wagga Tigers have until 5pm on Friday to make a decision.

If Tigers choose to fight the charge, Campbell will be free to play his first game for Wagga Tigers this season against Narrandera at Narrandera Sportsground on Saturday.

Campbell declined to comment about the report when contacted by The Daily Advertiser on Thursday.

Tigers, who are winless from their opening three games, face Leeton-Whitton, Coolamon and Collingullie-Glenfield Park after Saturday’s game against Narrandera.

Campbell was arguably best afield in Riverina’s 85-point rep win.

Tigers were informed of the report on Wednesday afternoon after the game was reviewed. There are no time restrictions on how soon the game has to be reviewed.

AFL Riverina football operations manager Shane Buchanan said all games filmed by the organisation this year will be reviewed by the match review panel.

He said there are three benefits of the filming – umpire education, a coaching resource for clubs and to use at tribunal matters.
