Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes captain Ryan Price believes there is no pressure on Riverina League to prove themselves on Saturday.
Riverina League will take on Farrer League for the first time in eight years in a representative clash at Robertson Oval.
Price will again line-up for Riverina League after a strong start to the year for the Goannas.
He is keen to help Riverina League’s reputation remain intact.
“There’s always a bit of chat between the two leagues as to who the better league is so I’m definitely keen to out there,” Price said.
“Both leagues are strong, there is always talk that RFL is stronger but I don’t feel like we’ve got any pressure on us.
“It will be good to get out there on the weekend and see how we go.”
Price has been named on a half-forward flank for Riverina. He is also capable of going through the midfield.
Price is happy with the team Riverina has got together and believes it has weapons right across the park.
“I think we’ve got a pretty strong on-ball group,” he said.
“Obviously Gep down at full-forward, he’s played a lot of these games and he always goes pretty well.
“The RFL is a reasonably strong comp so I think we’ll have good depth right across the park anyway. I don’t think there is probably one area that we’re out and out focusing on.”
Price is looking forward to another representative campaign.
“It’s always good footy and it’s good fun,” he said.
“Meeting blokes from other sides and you build that rapport with other teams, it’s good, I enjoy it.”
