Nathan James Kelleher was born at 10:42am on Sunday to loving parents Melody Betts and Aaron Kelleher.
Ms Betts said she was not expecting her first-born to come on Mother’s Day and was actually in labour for a huge 48 hours beforehand.
“He was originally due on the 9th of May, so he ended up coming four days over,” she said.
“We had an argument about his first name and I won, and we both agreed on the middle name because we have James on both sides of the family and Aaron’s middle name is James.”
Baby Nathan might have taken his time coming into the world, but it was clearly worth the wait for these new parents.
“He’s the first grandchild on my side, and the first boy in a long time – I’ve got four sisters,” Ms Betts said.
“I’m just glad I got flowers for Mother’s Day!”
